Treatment 2
The First minute of the opening sequence will be a flashback, in black and white, showing what happened sixty years ago during a performance of MacBeth. The flashback will show Lady MacBeth being murdered onstage rather than offstage, with the audience realising there has been a real murder. The stage curtains will then draw closed and re-open again, showing present day. On screen there will now be three students, rehearsing MacBeth. They will be fed up and bored, mocking the play. As they start to complain, the screen will freeze on each of their complaints and the curtains will draw closed, with the cast name appearing on screen. After each cast member has been named, they will still be mocking the play, however, strange things will then begin to happen. The lights will start flickering and there will be strange noises behind stage. This will scare the students and they will run to the door, only to find it locked. At this point, the screen will go black, and screams will be heard. The stage will then appear on screen with the curtains opening slowly, revealing the name of the film ‘The Final Act’.
